Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the posts of Assistant Professors (Teaching) in the various specialties & super specialties in Government Medical College of the State under the Directorate of Medical Education in the Scale of Pay Rs. 11,755 – 26,300/-.

1.      Post Graduate Degree in the concerned  Speciality or equivalent qualification prescribed by Medical Council of India from a recognized institution / University.


    1.   OC should not have completed 41 years as on 1-8-2006

         (should not have been born before 2-8-1965).

    2.  SC/ST/BC should not have completed 46 years as on 1-8-2006

         (should not have been born before 2-8-1960).


            Reservations will apply as per Govt. Rules in force.

            Those candidates desirous of applying for the above posts can down load the application format and submit the same duly filled, along with D.D. for prescribed amount  and relevant certificates duly attested by a Gezetted officer.


            The candidates who have applied in response to the notification issued in Jan’2005 for Super Specialty posts also need to apply a fresh.


            The last date for submission of filled in application is 5 pm on 23.9.06.

Selection Process :


          a)  Total Marks :   100


          b) 75 marks will be allocated against  the aggregate marks obtained in the

                 qualifying  examination i.e.,     1st    MBBS,

                                                                 2nd    MBBS   &

                                                                 3rd    MBBS.

          c)      1 mark for each year of waiting  after acquiring P.G. Degree / Super Specialty Degree  to a

                 maximum of  -    5 marks.

d)      P.G. Degree / Super Specialty Degree  passed first  attempt will be given a  weightage  - 

      10 marks.

            e)  Five (5) marks for every six months of  contractual service subject to a

                  maximum of ten  (10) marks.

            f)  There will be no Interview.

g) Candidate selected and appointed will be governed by the Rules of

    Government regarding Service conditions, emoluments, promotions, eligibility

    criteria and all other matters connected with service.

1.   Last date for receipt of application is  5.00 P.M. on  23-9-2006 

    (Department will not be  responsible for any postal delays and missing in transit).

2. Applications to be submitted neatly typed on white paper in the format can be

    downloaded from the following website

3    The duly filled in  application should be  sent by the  Registered post    

 with acknowledgement  Due / in person  to the  “ Director of Medical Education, 

Sultan  bazaar,  Koti, Hyderabad - 500 095super scribed by the post applied for.

4. Applications not properly filled up or without enclosures  required will not be


5.  If any of the information  provided by the applicant is found to be not true,

     at any time in future,  his/her appointment will be summarily  cancelled without

     prior notice.

    I will serve as Assistant Professor in APM&ES in  any part of the State if selected and I will join the place where I am posted within 15 days.  Failing which,   I forfeit my right to be considered  for appointment in future recruitment.

    I certify that the particulars given above are correct to the best of my knowledge and belief. If the information furnished in my application is found to be incorrect  or false at a later date, my application  can be cancelled  and I am liable for discharge from service  besides facing legal action as per rules.

6. Registration with A.P. Medical Council.
7. Latest Caste Certificate in case SC/ST/BC.   (Certificates issued by MRO in case of SC/ST/BC specifying caste and sub-group indicating A/B/C/D  in case of BC’s)
8. Application must be sent along with a CROSSED DEMAND DRAFT for Rs. 500/- for BC/OC and Rs.100/- for SC/ST  candidates drawn on any  Nationalized Bank in favour of “DIRECTOR OF MEDICAL EDUCATION, A.P.“ payable at HYDERABAD.
